Rafael Pensado, drummer for Brazilian progressive metal band MindFlow, recorded a track for the album Chaos Lit a Soul as a guest musician. The recording was supervised by the acclaimed producer Adair Daufembach and took place in Los Angeles at Machina Factory studio, owned by the drummer himself. Among drummers who have recently recorded in this studio are Aquiles Priester (Noturnall, ex-Angra, ex-Primal Fear) and Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth, ex-Soilwork), besides Marcelo Moreira (Circle II Circle, ex-Almah), who recorded the remaining tracks for Chaos Lit a Soul there.
The song recorded by Pensado will be the sixth track in the album, and the most progressive in my opinion, being the perfect song for this drummer, who I consider to be the reference in Brazil for this genre.
Edu Falaschi, who is producing the album Chaos Lit a Soul, was in Florianopolis for his “Metal Classics Tribute” concert. We had dinner together and talked about the status of the recordings.
For now, only the drums have been recorded, in Los Angeles by drummer Marcelo Moreira, Edu’s former band mate in Almah. The other instruments will be recorded as soon the debut album is finished.
